 Raoul graduated
as a medical doctor in 1974 at Wits University, RSA, and followed
a seven year postgraduate training in anthroposophically integrated
clinics in Switzerland and Germany in general medicine, paediatrics,
cancer therapy, nutritional therapy and psychiatry. This training
also involved active involvement in therapeutic art, eurythmy, rhythmic
massage and manufacture of natural medicine.
He is also trained in integrated medicine, acupuncture, homeopathy, clinical nutrition
and psychotherapeutic counselling and life coaching.
Since 1983, Raoul has been working in his holistic general practice as a specialist practitioner in integrated medicine and as a school doctor for the Waldorf School Movement.
Because the foundations of physical and psychological health are set down in the first 10 years of life, he is passionate about optimum care of children. He has lectured widely and written many articles on subjects related to child health and child development and his first book Awakening to Child Health Part 1 was published in 2009. He is actively promoting and teaching a way to deepen experience called Awakening to Deep Experience based on sharpening and strengthening the natural functions of human experience: sense perceptive, cognitive / imaginative, emotive / feeling and will based expressive capacities.
